I love summer and in Florida, it's pretty much the only season we get so we'd better really like it, ha!
Even with having the sun shining on us daily, though, there is something magical about the actual summer season as it approaches.
- Milestones are met as kids end the school year.
- The country comes together to celebrate America's birthday.
- The libraries begin their summer reading programs.
- Trips are taken to explore new parts of the world.
- Family cookouts are more frequent.
It is so much more than the season itself.
For this bucket list, I lumped the summer break months of June & July together because for the most part, summer break is all about
- being care-free
- having no routine
- creating joy from boredom
It's the lack of routine in the summer that really brings out all of its pleasures.
So, the list of activities below is a mix of the traditional simple things that define summer break.
