Babe Cave: Scheduling Your Day (middle/high)

Hi everyone!

Today I'm sharing with you just how I manage to keep our lives organized with homeschooling.

Scheduling out our week is pretty simple! We follow a provided curriculum that I pay for monthly and so, I take that and create a pacing guide that revolves around our family's routine each week.

Each Sunday evening, I spread out the assigned activities and then, I take a little more time to find some projects to supplement the curriculum. Pinterest is a favorite for doing this, as well as, Teachers Pay Teachers.

My kiddos are very hands on and retain information better when they really get to dig into the information.

The schedule below came courtesy of Confessions of a Homeschooler. Click the link to access an editable schedule of your own!

There are lots of free ones to browse on Pinterest, though, if this one doesn't exactly suit your homeschooling lifestyle.

Additionally, I include any appointments or events the kids may have throughout the week so they can be prepared for the disruption in their routine.

I also encourage them to highlight any virtual meet ups, testing days or important due dates.

The kids love being included in their routine and to know what to expect. Having a written schedule in-hand where they can visually see what's expected also allows them to budget their time better incase one assignment takes longer than another.

Printed schedules are perfect in helping them become more independent and accomplish things with ease.

Feel free to reach out with any questions!
