This year, I expanded our book club and made it virtual, so friends across the country could join us. It worked out perfectly that we all had free time, at the same time, to chat.
The books we chose to read were The Summer of Bad Ideas, which revolves around two, very different cousins who come together to complete a bucket list their grandmother had left behind, and Willows vs. Wolverines, which is about a young girl having to attend a new summer camp and figure out a way to fit in.
Spoiler alert: There are lots of fun pranks throughout.
I created a Google classroom, and throughout the week posted fun slides to stir up some conversation and allow the kids to share their favorite parts. I'm including the guide for FREE, just click HERE.
Whether you use Google Classroom or another meeting space, feel free to download each slide individually, and post at your own pace.
Not included in the slides is an additional Trivia Quiz I created for the kids, but the link is highlighted in blue above. Feel free to share it after everyone has finished reading the novel!
A Peek:
I created a similar format for Willows vs. Wolverines
The same as above, feel free to Click Here to get your own copy of the slides, and download each individual slide to go at your own pace.
Have fun & Happy Reading!
