Reading, comprehending, analyzing, and discussing take up the bulk of our average school day. The kids wake up and read in bed, read throughout the day in our sunroom, and go to bed with a book in hand.
Wandering bookstores is one of our favorite past times and over the years we've come across some great novels worth sharing. With that being said, I thought I'd go ahead and list a few of our favorites below.
The Vanderbeekers is a wholesome, heartwarming tale about a family living in a brownstone in NY and their day-to-day shenanigans.
Williams-Garcia's novels contain heavier content that will leave your kids with real-world questions. I appreciated the exposure it gave to my kids on a level they could understand.
The novels below are just a few we've read over the years and have fallen in love with. These are my picks to share with you. I won't summarize each one, but encourage you to check the descriptions out online. Some are mysteries, memoirs, coming of age, and fantasy. We love a good mix of genres.
