As a part of our Bible study over the years, we spent one morning a week reading a psalm. Psalms for Kids was an excellent resource, since it carefully and easily explains what each psalm is saying. Each week, we would read one, discuss its meaning, and then, the kids would sum it up, in their own words, in a journal. They would share their favorite line and why. It was a nice way to incorporate conversation about God and let the kids ask any questions they might have on their mind.
